Big Bang Beauty Tech Startup Challenge

The 4th edition of the L'Oréal China Big Bang Beauty Tech Challenge is organized by the Business France China office in collaboration with L'Oréal and the French Embassy in China.

At the end of the challenge, a prize will be awarded to an innovative French SME or startup in the cosmetics or NICT sector wishing to develop in China.

Candidate companies will be selected in one of the competition's three categories:

• N3XT Beauty Acceleration and the exploitation of virtual experiences (gamification of the purchase path; creation of immersive (metaverse) and personalized (AI) experiences; virtual brand ambassadors; innovative marketing and customer loyalty practices);
• Operation 4.0 for optimizing the operational value chain (supply and production chain optimization (AI & data management); product traceability tools (NFC, RFID, blockchain); disruptive industrial automation solutions; resource conservation (customized packaging, bio-based and/or recycled materials, waste collection and treatment solutions, product lifecycle optimization, etc.); technologies improving business safety and sustainability);
• Future Science, dedicated to product innovation and R&D technologies, formulation and biotech.

The winner will benefit from :

• Mentoring opportunities with L'Oréal experts in China, upscaling opportunities (meetings with Meicifang, L'Oréal China's 1st investment company; commercial presence in the Fengxian Oriental Beauty Valley),
• High visibility on Chinese networks (communication campaign on the winners by L'Oréal, its partners and the French Embassy in China),
• A personalized support program on the Chinese market provided by Business France China.
