What impact do delivery times and out-of-stock situations have on French consumers' purchasing decisions?

Every month, our partner OpinionWay asks French people flash questions on topical issues.
For this 17th edition of Les Jeudis de La Retail Tech, we asked them about their expectations regarding delivery and their loyalty to stores.

Here are the main findings of this study:

French people's preferred delivery time for online purchases :

  • 2 days for food products
  • 3 days for care and hygiene products
  • 5 days for household appliances and gardening products

If a product is out of stock, whether online or in-store, the French are ready to change brands at :

  • 51% for food products
  • 25% for healthcare products
  • 24% for electronic products
