How do the French perceive responsible commerce?

Every month, our partner OpinionWay asks French people flash questions on a topical issue.
For this edition #27 of Les Jeudis de La Retail Tech, we asked them how they perceive retailers' commitment to CSR.

Here are the main findings of this study.

A majority of French people feel that retailers are not doing enough to :

  • Protecting the environment (57%)
  • Contribute to the French economy (53%)
  • Social action (48%)

Consumers :

  • Nearly 1 in 2 French people are trying to consume more responsibly, without being convinced that this can really influence the practices of brands and retailers.
  • 86% believe they have a role to play in choosing responsible retailers.
  • 78% believe that technology can help retailers become more environmentally friendly.
