Joko has carried out a study of the beauty market, based on an analysis of bank transactions carried out by 21 leading brands in the sector.

Here are the key points of this analysis:

  • Leboncoin is the 26th retail chain (excluding food) where the French spend the most in Q1 2024.
  • Leboncoin's customer base is 20% of Amazon's.
  • The classified ad site's customer base has evolved over time: once dominated by women and the 31-44 age group, it is now men and the 45+ age group that are in the majority.
  • Men spend 3 times more than women on Leboncoin (€381 per year on average, versus €110 for women).
  • One out of every two Leboncoin customers buys from SHEIN.
