What responsible purchasing behaviors will the French adopt in 2024?
Every month, our partner OpinionWay asks French people flash questions on the theme of the month.
For this 20th edition of Focus Performance RSE, we decided to revisit the questions asked of the French in September 2023, in order to measure the evolution of their opinions and behaviors.
Here are the main findings of this study.
- The top 4 products for which the French would be willing to pay more for more environmentally-friendly products:
- Clothing products (46%)
- Electronic products (45%)
- Food products (44% ; -2 pts / 2023)
- Electronic products (44%)
- Among the efforts that the French would be willing to make to combat climate change, many items are on the rise, including :
- Buy food products that are close to their use-by date (60%; +3 pts / 2023)
- Check the origin of products (56%; +6 pts / 2023)
Among 25/34 year-olds, the trend towards second-hand products is growing.
- The main expectation French people have of chains in the fight against climate change is to reduce the waste of unsold products (45%; +3 pts / 2023).
